Spanish students learning French as a foreigner language fall often in false equivalence when using the continuous form. To avoid this tendency, it is necessary to analyse the phenomenon going through a study from a contrastive point of view. Particular attention will be paid to gerund form with the purpose to investigate if both Spanish and French gerunds are always different or if it may exist a correspondence within them. Some guidelines will be given.
