A team of computer specialists has worked on the audiovisual production, programming systems and graphic design in order to help teachers create multimedia material for their students. As a Virtual Learning Platform (VLP), "Prometeo" allows ULPGC students to have access to different interactive activities, in-class recorded lessons, content videos, screencast presentations and automatic evaluation systems that contribute to improve learners' independent learning skills. "Prometeo," on the other hand, is a stage that allows teachers to modify contents and control the activities completed by students. After its third year, "Prometeo" is a project in which more than 70 subjects have participated. "English Language II" is a subject that has successfully improved learning abilities in its students by using "Prometeo." This work will focus on its teaching methodology, the multimedia material created and the learning outcomes obtained after a year on "Prometeo" in order to answer the following question: Does ubiquitous learning (u-Learning) contribute to improve independent learning in EFL university students? | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/45605 | ISSN: | 1835-9795 | Fuente: | Ubiquitous Learning [ISSN 1835-9795], v. 4, p. 65-75 |
