Abstract: Results obtained from our group related to the external appearance, muscle composition and flesh quality properties of cultured red porgy (Pagrus pagrus) are presented. The aim of this work is to contribute to the basic Knowledge and thus asses the future devolopment of the commercial culture of this species.
