Abstract: This study tries to offer the tutor an intervention tool to face conflicts in tutorial sessions; the tutorial session is understood as interpersonal space to offer help, and Carkuff ' s model (1969) has been taken as a reference. We focus on the need to establish the proper link with students, using the following help skills: empathy, respect and authenticity and we suggest an alternative help model (HM).
