Formación en Nutrición: de la universidad a la especialidad

Abstract

De cara a las nuevas normas del Espacio Europeo deEducación Superior en su relación con los estudios denutrición tanto en los diferentes grados (medicina, farma-cia, nutrición, enfermería) como en el postgrado, seestructura el VIIº FORO Abbott-SENPE. Se efectúa unareflexión multiprofesional y multidisciplinar sobre laactual situación de la formación universitaria en nutri-ción, sus posibilidades y límites. También se valora elpapel de la formación continuada, del sistema de residen-cia, de los másteres y de las sociedades científicas. Se con-cluye en instar a las autoridades académicas, a la Comi-sión Nacional de Especialidades, a los responsables deformación continuada y a las sociedades científicas areflexionar sobre la importancia de los estudios relacio-nados con la nutrición, alimentación y dietética tanto enel pregrado como en el postgrado y a implementarlos ydesarrollarlos en sus áreas de influencia.

The 7thAbbott-SENPE Forum is structured facing the newregulations of the European Space of High Education regard-ing the studies on Nutrition in the different degrees (Medi-cine, Pharmacology, Nutrition, Nursing) and post-doctoraleducation. A multi-professional and multidisciplinary discus-sion on the current situation of university education on nutri-tion, and its capabilities and limitations, is carried out. Thevalue of the role of continuous medical education, the in-house training programme, masters, and of scientific soci-eties is also assessed. It is concluded that there is a need to urgeacademic authorities, the National Commission of MedicalSpecialties, the persons in charge of continuous medical edu-cation, and scientific societies of the importance of the studiesrelating to nutrition, feeding, and dietetics at both pre-gradu-ate and post-graduate educational levels, and to implementand develop these studies in their areas of influence.
