El establecimiento del Movimiento Federalista Europeo en España. Un caso de estudio sobre oposición antifranquista y representatividad política y territorial en Europa (1971-1976)

Abstract

El artículo analiza las dinámicas estructurales y de representación territorial en los primeros años de vida del Movimiento Federalista Europeo español, nacido en 1971. Para ello se ha recurrido principalmente a fuentes primarias inéditas: archivos como los HAEU de Florencia, el archivo privado de Raúl Morodo, el AGA y la Fundación Pablo Iglesias, fuentes orales y prensa. El diálogo entre la Sección española, la vasca y agrupaciones regionales no fue fácil, debido al miedo al centralismo y a las especificades del contexto español, lo que se resolvió solo con la llegada de la democracia y los cambios en la estructura internacional.

The article analyses the dynamics of structure and territorial representation in the early years of the Spanish European Federalist Movement, born in 1971. For this purpose, the author mainly used unpublished primary sources: archives such as the HAEU in Florence, the private archive of Raúl Morodo, the AGA and the Pablo Iglesias Foundation, but also oral sources and press. The dialogue between the Spanish Section, the Basque group and other regional representations has been not easy, due to the fear of centralism and the specificities of the Spanish framework, which was resolved only with the arrival of democracy and changes in the international structures.
