Title: | Ideological deixis, metaphorical creativity, and translating political discourse written up in Spanish | Authors: | Díaz-Peralta, Marina | UNESCO Clasification: | 5701 Lingüística aplicada 591003 Prensa |
Issue Date: | 2020 | Journal: | Des mots aux actes | Abstract: | This paper analyzes some of the intertextual metaphors found in a corpus of political speeches published in 2013 by the newspaper El País. As ideological deictic devices linking texts to a certain cultural cognitive model, these metaphorical projections help the readers infer how the writers judge the actions and decisions of the party governing Spain. Their translation into French underlines the difficulties for the translator from a different cultural community. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/105865 | ISSN: | 2555-2376 | DOI: | 10.15122/isbn.978-2-406-10878-8.p.0053 | Source: | Des mots aux actes [ISSN 2555-2376], n. 9, p. 53-68 |
