Aproximación al estudio de las ermitas: análisis y tipología funcional de las ermitas de Gran Canaria de fines del siglo XV a principios del XVI

Abstract

Con este trabajo pretendemos proceder a un estado de la cuestión y a una aproximación al estudio de las ermitas en las islas de realengo y en particular en Gran Canaria desde la época de la conquista hasta la década de los años treinta del siglo XVI. La sistematización de las investigaciones sobre el objeto de estudio, así como el análisis de sus fundaciones y su ubicación en la isla, junto con la propuesta de un modelo de tipología funcional de las ermitas estudiadas, son los objetivos principales del trabajo.

With this work we intend to proceed to a state of the art and an approach to the study of the hermitages in the Canary Islands of realengo, and in particular in Gran Canaria, from the time of the conquest until 1530, date of the definitive ecclesiastical organization of the territory. The systematization of the research on the object of study, as well as the analysis of its foundations and its location on the island, together with the proposal of a model of functional typology of the hermitages, are the main objectives of this study.
