Conferencia: | International Conference on Computer Aided Systems Theory (EUROCAST 2019) | Resumen: | The extended use of AIS (Automatic Identification System) and its bandwidth limitation are critical troubles for VHF channels saturation. To solve this, IMO and other organizations have proposed a new standardisation called VDES (VHF Data Exchange System), that includes the AIS and other services both for terrestrial and satellite links.
