Abstract

The Law plays a crucial role in the European construction. From the Agreement of Amsterdam, it is in addition an essential instrument for the joint of an European space of freedom, safety and justice. The civil and penal cooperation, the major protagonism of the European Parliament in the legislative community procedure, and the step of codecision in the same one involve a fundamental advance in the democratic legitimization of the European Law.
