Issue Date: | 1998 | Journal: | Medicina Oral | Abstract: | Publicamos un caso raro de quiste odontogénico calcificante central (intraóseo) (QOC) en su variante neoplásica, el tumor epitelial odontogénico de células fantasmas (TEOCF).
Un tratamiento agresivo quirúrgico dio resultados satisfactorios.
Se resumen y discuten las actuales clasificaciones clinicopatológicas del quiste odontogénico calcificado (QOC). Por último, revisamos la literatura disponible en inglés y la comparamos con nuestro caso. A rare case of the neoplastic variant of the central ( intraosseus) calcifying odontogenic cyst (CCOC), the epithelial odontogenic ghost cell tumor ( EOGCT) is reported. An agressive surgical approach gave good results. The present clinicopathologic classifications of calcyfying odontogenic cyst (COC), are summarized and discussed. Current literature available in English is reviewed and compared with our case. |
