Issue Date: | 1985 | Journal: | Microprocessing and Microprogramming | Abstract: | This paper intends to introduce a new alternative to multilink systems computer/terminal, the aim of this alternative is double: increasing data flow and decreasing installation costs. Its most immediate field of application would be remote point-to-point links, even though local networks could also be adecuately handled allowing linking several terminals to the computer through a single communication line. The system was designed to be simple (money-saving, according to the use it was designed for) and with the fewest possible units to maintain the right level of flexibility and adaptability to different computers and terminals. That is way the Intel 8085A microprocessor was used as CPU of the systems, and also using the standard RS-232C interface. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/74091 | ISSN: | 0165-6074 | DOI: | 10.1016/0165-6074(85)90054-7 | Source: | Microprocessing and Microprogramming [ISSN 0165-6074], v. 16 (2-3), p. 163-167, (Enero 1985) |
