Issue Date: | 2011 | Journal: | History of Mechanism and Machine Science | Conference: | International Conferences on Cultural Heritage and History of Engineering, CIPHI 2008 | Abstract: | The paper describes the process of creating a virtual representation of some of the drawings made by the famous engineer and genius Agustin de Betancourt y Molina (Fig. 1). The latest technologies were used to recreate some of the engineering designs he painted with extreme detail to be part of a documentary directed by Desiree Hernandez Hormiga. No real physical simulation was intended, just an artistic interpretation of the environment, while maintaining a very approximate animation of such models. Everything will be covered from gathering the right material to the study of movement and the correct approach at animating the wonders. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/72259 | ISBN: | 9789400712508 | ISSN: | 1875-3442 | DOI: | 10.1007/978-94-007-1251-5_6 | Source: | History of Machines for Heritage and Engineering Development.
