La Universidad: Retos y desafíos. Retos para una sociedad más inclusiva, más culta y más competitiva

Abstract

La Universidad no es la única pero si es una de las principales instituciones que tiene importantes retos para seguir siendo una institución de referencia como lo ha sido siempre y pueda servir a la sociedad a la que se debe. En el s. XXI caracterizado por el cambio constante en todas las facetas de nuestra vida siendo en la universidad las de mayor relevancia las siguientes: internacionalización, sociedad digital, generalización de la educación universitaria, investigación para la transferencia a la empresa y a las organizaciones sociales y nuevo modelo de gobernanza. Todo ello requiere repensar las funciones tales como docencia, investigación y gestión; requiere también repensar las relaciones con los otros agentes sociales; requiere en definitiva revisar su cultura y reconstruirla a fin de que sea capaz de hacer frente a los retos y desafíos que tiene.
