El complemento predicativo

Abstract

La distinción entre verbos atributivos y verbos predicativos implica, en primer lugar, la negación del significado de los verbos atributivos y, en segundo lugar, la consideración del atributo como función sintáctica propia de estos verbos, cuestiones que son revisadas en la primera parte de este artículo, mediante el estudio de las conclusiones principales de los autores más significativos pertenecientes a las distintas corrientes lingüísticas de la filología moderna. Realizada esa revisión, se presentan argumentos en favor de la no distinción entre unos verbos y otros y las conclusiones que de esa hipótesis se obtienen; conclusiones que se centran en algunas consideraciones teóricas sobre el complemento predicativo.

The difference between attributive verbs and predicative verbs implies firstly, the negation of the attributive verbs meaning and, secondly, the consideration of the attributive syntax to these verbs, questions that have been dealt with in the first part of this article via the study of the most important authors and their main findings in correlation with the varying linguistical thinking of modern philology. Once this has been covered, proposals are put forward in favour of not distinguishing between one verb type or the other and the conclusions reached in this hypothesis, conclusions that are based on various theoretical considerations about the predicative object.
