La organización político-administrativa de Canarias. Un balance histórico

Abstract

En el presente artículo se traza un balance histórico y general sobre la configuración de la administración local en Canarias con especial referencia al ámbito provincial y al autonómico. Se plantean las principales claves que dieron lugar a las dificultades que encontró la implantación del nuevo entramado liberal y los conflictos que suscitó a lo largo de los siglos XIX y XX.

The present paper touches upon the historical and general revision about the solution of the local administration in the Canary Island with special reference to the provintial and regional context. The author deals with the key elements that provoked the difficulties involved in the new liberal framework together with the conflicts that took place in the XIXth and XXth centuries.
