The biography of the baroque canarian painter still continues presenting some aspects not known or, at least, badly known. It was known his absence of the Canary Islands and his presence in peninsular Spain, but it was not known when and why, the circumstances that surrounded his exit, his destination, etc. In the present work some of these questions find an answer. This is the case of his exit from the Islands at the end of 1757 or the beginning of 1758 with destination to the prison of Oran to serve a sentence of six years given to him in 1752 by the Ordinary Court of La Laguna, in the First Instance, and this was ratified in 1755 by the Royal High Court of the Canary Islands, in Second Instance, for the crimes of «illicit relationship» committed with Juana Martin, with whom apparently he had several children, and for carrying naked weapons in the moment of his detention.
