Abstract: In this paper we present a design approach for harmonic injection frequency dividers using the harmonic balance technique. This way we have obtained the optimum match loads and bias point for a MESFET device when used as a divider. Then we have implemented the passive network and calculated the device's describing function (TSIDF) to find the divider solutions. By means of the incremental functions (TSIIDF) we could separate the stable solutions from the non-stable and determine the locking range.
