| dc.description.abstract | La labor de evangelización desarrollada por los franciscanos en Nueva España generó la redacción de las crónicas Historia de los indios de la Nueva España (1541) de fray Toribio de Benavente, conocido por Motolinía (1482-1569) e Historia General de las cosas de Nueva España (con la traducción española o Códice Florentino de 1575) de Bernardino de Sahagún (1499-1590). Estas Historias ha sido objeto de distintas investigaciones desde la perspectiva de textos que indican una posible mediación intercultural. Para algunos estudiosos, estas crónicas representan un hito significativo para el discurso etnográfico amerindio y un reconocimiento de la cultura nahua en un universo colonial multicultural. | en_US |
