Abstract: Excess molar volumes VmE at 298.15 K were obtained as a function of mole fraction x for the nine mixtures {xo-C6H4(CH3)2 + (1 - x)CnH2n+1OH}, (n = 6, 7, and 8); {xm-C6H4(CH3)2 + (1 - x)CnH2n+1OH}, (n = 6, 7, and 8); and {xp-C6H4(CH3)2 + (1 - x)CnH2n+1OH}, (n = 6, 7, and 8). A vibrating-tube digital densimeter was used. The excess molar volumes for all these mixtures are negative-positive and exhibit a decrease in the values for the homologous series. © 1985.
