Title: | Thermodynamic properties of (a xylene + an n-alkanol) III. Excess molar volumes at 298.15 K for 1-hexanol, 1-heptanol, and 1-octanol | Authors: | Rodriguez-Nuñez, E. Paz-Andrade, M. I. Bravo, R. Ortega, J. |
UNESCO Clasification: | 2213 Termodinámica | Issue Date: | 1985 | Journal: | Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics | Abstract: | Excess molar volumes VmE at 298.15 K were obtained as a function of mole fraction x for the nine mixtures {xo-C6H4(CH3)2 + (1 - x)CnH2n+1OH}, (n = 6, 7, and 8); {xm-C6H4(CH3)2 + (1 - x)CnH2n+1OH}, (n = 6, 7, and 8); and {xp-C6H4(CH3)2 + (1 - x)CnH2n+1OH}, (n = 6, 7, and 8). A vibrating-tube digital densimeter was used. The excess molar volumes for all these mixtures are negative-positive and exhibit a decrease in the values for the homologous series. © 1985. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/52178 | ISSN: | 0021-9614 | DOI: | 10.1016/0021-9614(85)90073-4 | Source: | The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics [ISSN 0021-9614], v. 17, p. 817-821, (Enero 1985) |
