Direct measurements have been made at the temperature 298.15 K of the enthalpy changes on mixing one of five methyl n-alkanoates (from n-undecanoate to n-pentadecanoate) with n-nonane or n-undecane. The experimental results, fitted to variable-degree polynomials, are positive for all mixtures with a behaviour very similar to that of other mixtures of (an ester + an n-alkane). © 1991 Academic Press Limited All rights reserved.
