dc.description.abstractEmpirical results which show the existence of a relationship among the probabilistic behaviour of the sea surface elevation, the statistical properties of the phase spectral estimates and the sea surface bispectra are presented. Furthermore, some theoretical relations proposed to characterise the marginal density function of the waves phase for the linear and non-linear wave records are examined.en_US
