Abstract: This article presents an evaluation about anxiety and its influence on the degree of success nursing students have on their exams. The influence of anxiety on cognitive processes under situations perceived as threatening, as well as the perception of physiological symptoms, are analyzed. This study may be considered to be a replica of one carried out by Sarason and Stoops in 1978.
