Abstract: The performances are evaluated of the inverse filters commonly used to eliminate poles and zeros from the transfer function of the calorimetric system. The analysis is carried out in frequency space, by means of the Z-transform. The algorithms are tested on models covering the full dynamic range attainable for heat conduction calorimeters. As relative scales are used for time and frequency, the results of the analysis can be applied in any experimental device.
