In this paper we review the main characteristics of infectious diseases in children detected in Spain. Specifically we have considered four scenarios: - The internationally adopted child. - The newborn of immigrant mother. - The traveller child to the country of their immigrant parents. - The immigrant child. The analysis of these data allows to conclude that, with some exceptions (hepatitis B viral infection, tuberculosis, intestinal parasitic infection), the detected infections in immigrant children in Spain do not constitute a real risk for the autochthonous population.en_US
