Abstract: This article attempts to explain the results of an investigation into the model Suricata, conducive to analysis and visualization of results in a formal and informal learning environment. For the formal setting a basic computer course is analyzed at the Faculty of Translators and Interpreters. Two groups, German 2 and French 2, are analyzed, the subject being exactly the same for both groups. For these results a platform of formal education, based on Moodle was employed. Where tools have been implemented social network analysis was used. The resident plugin allowed files to be converted into Pajek format. The analysis of these files in Pajek format provides the results presented in this article. For the informal environment an open source software, called Elgg, was used.
