| dc.description.abstract | Using gamma spectrometric prospecting methods and mineralogical studies, the distribution of K, Th and U in the alkaline rocks and carbonatites of the Serie Plutonica I on Fuerteventura was analysed. Both methods allowed us to find several anomalous radiometric areas in the northwest and central-west zones of the island, and they suggest that most Th and U are carried out by silicates, oxides, carbonates and phosphates, some ot them containing REE and minor elements; and the K by feldspars and nepheline. | - |
