Excavaciones arqueológicas en el yacimiento de Buenavista (Tiagua, Lanzarote): primera campaña, 2006

Abstract

Las diversas intervenciones arqueológicas que hemos efectuado los últimos años en Lanzarote, dentro de un amplio proyecto de investigación que analiza la colonización insular y su incidencia en el contexto medioambiental, nos han permitido incrementar notablemente los datos procedentes de yacimientos excavados con rigor metodológico.

The several archaeological works that have been performed in Lanzarote during the last years, in a wide research project for analysing island's colonization and environmenta impact, have increased importantly the data on burial places excavated with scientific methodology. This is the case of Buenavista site, in which our field work discovered an important and ancient settlement, with significant stratigraphy permitting a notable information on the chronology and cultural context during the first millennium BC, the first moments of the human occupation of the island.
