Here we study the variability in the relationship between the enzymatic rates and the actual rates measured in epipelagic marine zooplankton between several marine ecosystems. Although both measures were significantly correlated across zooplankton assemblages, the regression models yielded different GDH/RNH4 + ratios across ecosystems. Accordingly, the error of a general equation increased up to ± 42.5 % when regressing all our data together. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/19547 | ISSN: | 0967-0637 | DOI: | 10.1016/j.dsr.2016.09.005 | Source: | Deep-Sea Research Part I: Oceanographic Research Papers [ISSN 0967-0637], v. 117, p. 61-69 | Rights: | by-nc-nd |
