La ciencia y el Quijote: su utilización como recurso didáctico

Abstract

En este artículo se especifican algunas de las ciencias citadas a lo largo del Quijote. Igualmente se intenta relacionar la ciencia, la medicina y la técnica que aparece en esta novela con los conocimientos existentes en la época en que fue escrita. Por otra parte, se reflexiona sobre la posible utilización como recurso didáctico de algunos párrafos de los diferentes capítulos donde se establecen o describen aspectos científicos. Se propone, como llevarlo a cabo en algunos ámbitos, áreas de conocimiento y materias de los currículos, de los diferentes niveles del Sistema Educativo. Finalmente, se planifica una actividad a modo de ejemplo. The present article deals with some of the scientific disciplines mentioned in don Quixote. Likewise, it establishes a relationship between science, medicine and technology, as they appear in don Quixote, with the existing knowledge in the time when the novel was written. In addition to that, there is a thorough consideration of the possible use of some of the paragrahs from different chapters where some scientific aspects are described o established as a teaching resource. It is proposed how to implement them in some fields, knowledge areas and curricula subjects of different levels of the Educational System. Finally, as an example, an activity is planned.
