Issue Date: | 2006 | Journal: | Marketing and public policy | Abstract: | After a review of the environmental behavior literature, it is clear that the predominant paradigm to conceive environmental behavior proposes that people need to process a large amount of information about ecology and it assumes that recycling is a high involvement desired conduct. Nevertheless, we have highlighted the idea that desired behavior has become a routine or habit with low involvement and then it would seem logical to propose new working strategies to achieve additional recycling performance. To be more specific, new lines of work starting by doing rather than knowing. In addition, we have Sound that there are some sociodemographic characteristics related with this adoption process, so that these characteristics play a moderating role on the recycling adoption behavior and then they must be considered to encourage recycling in the new situation. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/1573 | ISBN: | 877573212 | Source: | Marketing and public policy: Conference Proceedings, pp. 150-162 |
