Abstract: Hybrid composites have been obtained by combining together a lignocellulose fiber (from giant reed) and a mineral powdered filler (ignimbrite stone) by means of rotational molding. Different combinations (arriving up to 30 wt% of the fillers) have been produced, determining the influence of the filler in the behaviour of composite parts. Rheological and mechanical properties of the composites have been analysed. lt is of particular relevance the good viscous behaviour of the blends, with no significant modifications of the composites compared to the neat matrix, far up to 20 wt% total loading.
