| dc.description.abstract | Desde el siglo XVIII, las riñas de gallos en Canarias se han celebrado ininterrumpidamente. En los casteos, la comunidad gallística ha evitado la consanguinidad entre los animales incorporando material genético foráneo. La práctica de la reciprocidad mutua, -a través del gesto del intercambio de huevos y animales-, ha reforzado los lazos de unión entre gallistas, formando una comunidad compartida que ha generado un parentesco simbólico entre sus miembros y un padrinazgo efectivo sobre jóvenes galleros. | en_US |
