This paper explores the intricate interplay between belief systems, spirituality, and religiosity in the Canary Islands, tracing their evolution from the early modern era to contemporary times. We examine how individuals construct their belief networks, through a glocal and transnational lens, we investigate the impact of movements, reterritorializations, syncretism, and transculturation on these belief systems, emphasizing their relevance in today’s pluralistic religious landscape in Canary Islands. Through archival analysis and fi eld interviews, we explore the active role of diverse community cosmologies in shaping a plural spirituality. Our investigation reveals a delicate boundary between the religious, spiritual, and therapeutic realms, traversed by the creativity of belief practitioners. We challenge stereotypical interpretations of healing practices and advocate for ethnographic narratives that embrace the diversity of contemporary religiosity. Ultimately, our study underscores the continued relevance of these belief systems in shaping social dynamics, urging a nuanced understanding that considers factors such as ethnicity, gender, and legitimacy.en_US
