dc.description.abstract | After stating that 30% of the elderly population will suff er at least one fall per year, and establishing that the future expectation is that of an ageing society, it is necessary to establish which interventions will provide the most scientific evidence to reduce the number of falls or the risk of suff ering them. It is necessary to establish which intervention(s) will provide the most scientific evidence to reduce the number of falls or the risk of falling. Falls can lead to diffi culty in mobility, diffi culty in carrying out Activities of Daily Living, disability and reduced social interaction. In addition, all of this can lead to an increase in social and health care costs.
