dc.description.abstractWe report, for the first time, an optical camera communications (OCC) link leveraging the use of a commercial off-The-shelf light emitting diode illumination panel. An experimental testbed is developed for the proposed system, and the quality of the communication link is measured in terms of the eye diagram of the signal received and the signal-To noise ratios for different exposure times. We show an acceptable bit error rate below the forward error correction limit. This work paves the way to enable the use of OCC links in many Internet-of-Things applications with low costs and no additional complexity.en_US
