Abstract: After bariatric surgery, nutritional patterns must be adapted according to the type of bariatric procedure performed. This may involve changes in total calorie ingestion, as well as macro and micronutrient intakes. Physical activity must usually be adapted after the intervention too. In this sense, the results of bariatric surgery can be optimized from the point of view of adequate weight loss, minimization of the risk of nutritional deficiencies, and maintenance of the weight loss achieved in the long term. These strategies are discussed in this chapter.
