Funcionalismo y traducción turística: la importancia del escopo

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado pretende analizar el papel determinante que desempeña el escopo en la traducción. Sobre la base de las teorías funcionalistas, y con especial hincapié en la importancia de la elaboración de un perfil del receptor meta, en la aplicación práctica se traducirán y analizarán textos publicitarios pertenecientes al ámbito turístico [alemán-español]; con especial atención a la presencia de culturemas remarcables que deben tenerse en cuenta a la hora de formular el mensaje en un contexto intercultural e interlingüístico determinado. Así pues, el análisis de estos aspectos teóricos y su posterior aplicación práctica pretenden demostrar que, dependiendo del receptor al que vaya dirigido el mensaje, un mismo texto origen puede dar lugar a múltiples textos meta que transmiten las funciones del original.

This Final Degree Project aims to analyse the key role played by the skopos of the translation. Based on Functionalist translation theories and with special emphasis on the importance of the target recipient profile, the practical application will involve the translation and analysis of advertising texts belonging to the field of tourism [German-Spanish]; with special attention to the presence of remarkable culturemes that must be taken into account when formulating the message in a given intercultural and interlinguistic context. Therefore, the analysis of those theoretical aspects and their subsequent practical application are intended to demonstrate that, depending on the recipient to whom the message is addressed, the same source text can result in multiple target texts that convey the functions of the original.
