Los indoamericanismos léxicos en el Tesoro de las dos lenguas francesa y española de César Oudin (1607)

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the presence of lexical Indo-Americanisms in the Tesoro de las dos lenguas francesa y espanola by César Oudin (1607), through an etymological and quantitative historical perspective. The number of recorded voices with American referents in the French lexicographer's work, 28, shows that Oudin included these voices in his dictionary in a systematic way. We also note that half of these lexical Indo-Americanisms are Antilleanisms. We also highlight the minority presence of voices whose roots are other Amerindian languages: Nahuatl, Cunamagota, Quechua, Tupi-Guaraní.

Esta investigación indaga, desde una perspectiva histórica etimológica y cuantitativa, sobre la presencia de indoamericanismos léxicos en el Tesoro de las dos lenguas francesa y española de César Oudin (1607). El número de voces con referentes americanos registradas en la obra del lexicógrafo francés, 28, demuestra que Oudin incluyó estas voces en su diccionario de forma sistemática. La mitad de estos indoamericanismos léxicos son antillanismos. Destacamos, igualmente, la presencia minoritaria de voces cuyo étimo son otras lenguas amerindias: náhuatl, cunamagota, quechua, tupi-guaraní.
