Peut-on envisager la traduction sans l’apport de la linguistique ? De l’aspect duratif en espagnol et en français: un cas épineux entre morphologie et sémantique

Abstract

Pour expliquer l’aspect duratif de manière contrastive à des étudiants de FLE (futurs traducteurs, quoique non exclusivement), il est de rigueur de passer par l’analyse du phénomène qui se trouve au carrefour de la morphologie, de la syntaxe et de la sémantique. Il est notre intention de centrer notre attention sur le gerundio et le gérondif en essayant de répondre à la question suivante : Gerundio et gérondif, sont-ils morphologiquement et sémantiquement toujours différents et par conséquent non interchangeables ou, peut-on dresser des correspondances entre eux ? La thèse que nous voulons défendre est que la sphère d’action du gérondif en français est bien plus réduite que celle du gerundio, étant donné un certain nombre de contraintes, à la fois morpho-syntaxiques et sémantiques.

Al explicar a los estudiantes de francés lengua extranjera (y en particular a futuros traductores) el aspecto durativo de forma contrastiva, hay que analizar el fenómeno pasando por el estudio morfológico, sintáctico y semántico. En este artículo, nos centraremos en el gerundio con el fin de responder a la siguiente pregunta: ¿El gerundio español y el gerundio francés son morfológicamente y semánticamente siempre distintos, lo que implicaría que no se pueden intercambiar, o existe una correspondencia entre ellos? Intentaremos demostrar que, debido a ciertas características de naturaleza morfosintáctica y semántica, el ámbito de acción del gerundio en francés es mucho más reducido que el del gerundio español.

To explain durative aspect to Spanish students studying French as a foreigner language (and particularly for future translators) it is necessary to analyze the phenomenon going through a |514| Daniela Ventura morphological, syntactical and semantic study. In this paper, particular attention will be paid to the durative form of gerund with the purpose to investigate if both Spanish and Frenchgerunds are, from a morphological and semantic point of view, always different, and for this reason never interchangeable, or if it may exist a correspondence within them.
