Turismo idiomático: el español como lengua extranjera

Abstract

El aprendizaje y el turismo son dos elementos que combinados pueden crear una sinergia que permita el estudio del español como lengua extranjera, generando relaciones interculturales complementadas con las vivencias turísticas. Canarias vive del turismo. Lo que se pretende con este trabajo fin de grado es demostrar y visualizar la oportunidad que le brinda a nuestro archipiélago el turismo idiomático, un nicho de mercado que aún está por explorar y que podría repercutir positivamente en nuestras islas. Con los datos expuestos en este trabajo se conocerá cómo surgió el turismo lingüístico, la historia del turismo y la evolución del español como lengua. Unos hechos que ayudarán a entender por qué el estudio del español como segundo idioma en Canarias puede convertirse en un nicho de mercado altamente competitivo como cualquier otro destino idiomático.

Learning and tourism are two concepts that combined could create a synergy that allows the study of Spanish as a foreign language, generating intercultural relations and complemented with tourist experiences. Canary lives on tourism, the intention of this document is to show the opportunity offered by language tourism to our archipelago, a niche market that is unexplored and how could be a positive impact in our islands. With the data presented in this document, it will be show how language tourism emerged, the tourism history and the evolution of Spanish like a language. These facts help you to understand why study of Spanish as a second language, will become in the Canary Island, a highly competitive niche like any idiomatic destination.
