Abstract: Excess volumes of each of six methyl esters (from pentanoate to pentadecanoate) with each of five oddn-alkanes (from pentane to tridecane) have been obtained at the temperature 298.15K using a vibrating-tube densimeter. The VEmvalues were positive for the mixtures containing the heavier hydrocarbons and the slighter esters and negative in the other cases. The results for VEm are compared with those obtained using several theoretical models; however the estimations were not good. © 1995 Academic Press. All rights reserved.
