La eficiencia energética de las edificaciones turísticas en el Archipiélago canario

Abstract

Las circunstancias especiales de insularidad, lejanía con respecto a los centros económicos de Europa, América y Asia, y condiciones óptimas climáticas de las Islas Canarias no son recogidas en la normativa europea y española relativa a la eficiencia energética de los edificios de esta última década. Si realmente se consideraran, las edificaciones de este lugar se orientarían a una arquitectura más tradicional, con materiales locales principalmente, y de carácter bioclimático. Teniendo en cuenta que la economía de las islas se basa principalmente en el turismo es de interés hacer el estudio en este campo: el turista debe estar confortable dentro de los edificios, y los edificios deben ser eficientes energéticamente durante todo su ciclo de vida. Por lo tanto, el objetivo del estudio es contrastar la arquitectura tradicional con la arquitectura derivada de las exigencias normativas de la eficiencia energética para comprobar si realmente la arquitectura actual es mas eficiente en la construcción y su posterior uso.

Special circumstances of insularity, remoteness from the economic centers of Europe, America and Asia, and climatic optimum conditions of Canary Islands are not included in the European and Spanish legislation on the energy efficiency of buildings in the last decade. If you really consider, buildings of this place would be oriented to a more traditional and bioclimatic architecture with mainly local materials. Given that the economy of the Islands is based mainly on tourism it is of interest to study in this field: the tourist should be comfortable buildings, and buildings must be energy efficient throughout their life cycle. Therefore, the objective of the study is to contrast the traditional architecture with the buildings derived from the regulatory requirements of energy efficiency to see if the current architecture really is more efficient in construction and use.
