Resumen: Detecting the transmitting source within a frame is fundamental in Optical Camera Communications (OCC). Until now, the detection techniques used today are discovery techniques, that is, in each frame or set of frames, the source is detected unequivocally. These techniques are expensive and may require learning (in case of using Deep Learning), which makes the implementation of receivers in users' end devices, such as smartphones, a new challenge to consider. In this article, we propose a detection system oriented to devices with limited hardware making use of basic operations, and also proposes to use the tracking technique. Since the tracking does not detect whether the source is within the region being tracked, this combination allows to obtain higher camera capture rates (FPS). This system may allow limited hardware devices to implement OCC technology.
