| dc.description.abstract | Pigmentation enhacement of red porgy Pagrus pagrus is of great importance to produce this species in a commercial scale. lnteresting skin colour results have being obtained using unesterified and esterified astaxanthin in the diet. Nevertheless, there are few studies on the types of carotenoids in the skin of this animal.
