Clasificación de los deportes en función de la evolución de los motivos atendiendo al tiempo de práctica y al género

Abstract

El presente estudio tiene como finalidad comprobar si la evolución motivacional, contemplando el tiempo de práctica, tanto para hombres como para mujeres, permite clasificar los deportes en función del criterio taxonómico de Durand. Se utilizó el Cuestionario de Motivos de Inicio, Mantenimiento, Cambio y Abandono (MIMCA) en una muestra compuesta por 1310 hombres y 509 mujeres, deportistas federados en 15 deportes. Los resultados muestran una elevada fiabilidad del cuestionario MIMCA e indican que la evolución motivacional clasifica los deportes en función del criterio taxonómico establecido por Durand (1968).

The present study has the aim of checking if the motivational evolution attending to practice time, both male and female, allows to classify the sports according to Durand's taxonomic criterion. We used the Sport Motives Questionnaire (MIMCA) in a sample formed by 1310 male and 509 female federated sportsmen who belongs to 15 different sports. The results show up a hight reliability of the used instrument and indicate that the motivational evolution classifies the sports attending to Durand's taxonomic criterion.
