Issue Date: | 2006 | Journal: | Revista de Teledeteccion | Abstract: | X-band marine radars are able to be used as an oceanographic microwave active remote sensing tool.The present work shows the capabilities of marine radar based wave measuring stations on shore for real time ocean wave monitoring. For that purpose, some comparative results are shown by using oceanographic buoy in-situ measurements. Los radares de navegación en banda X se pueden utilizar como un dispositivo activo de teledetección oceanográfica en el rango de las microondas. El presente trabajo muestra la capacidad de las estaciones csteras medidoras de oleaje basadas en radar de navegación para monitorizar el oleaje en tiempo real. Para ello, se presentan algunos resultados comparatiavos con medidas in situ realizadas por boyas oceanográficas. |
