Nuevas técnicas para la investigación y la conservación de la Cueva Pintada de Gáldar (Gran Canaria): modelado 3D y análisis de imagen

Abstract

Desde 2014 el Museo y Parque Arqueológico Cueva Pintada (MPACP) y la Universidad de CastillaLa Mancha se encuentran comprometidos en el desarrollo de un ambicioso programa de investigación básica e innovación cuyo objetivo último es la materialización del Sistema Integral de Documentación Arqueológica y Patrimonial (SIDAP) del MPACP. Por evidentes razones vinculadas al diagnóstico y a la monitorización de los procesos de deterioro de la cámara policromada, y a la toma de decisiones para garantizar su conservación, la máxima prioridad del SIDAP consiste, hoy en día, en el diseño y desarrollo de un sistema de documentación integral específico para la misma: el Sistema de Documentación Integral de la Cueva Pintada. Este trabajo da cuenta de las tareas realizadas a día de hoy en el marco de la concepción e implementación de este sistema, y de sus primeros resultados.

Since 2014, the Museum and Archaeological Site of Cueva Pintada and the University of Castilla-La Mancha have been engaged in the development of an ambitious basic research program and innovation whose ultimate goal is the implementation of the Archaeological and Heritage Comprehensive Documentation System (in Spanish, SIDAP). For obvious reasons, related to the diagnosis and monitoring of the deterioration process in the polychromatic chamber and to the decision-making in order to guarantee its conservation, the first priority of SIDAP consists of, nowadays, designing and developing a specific comprehensive documentation system for this chamber: the Comprehensive Documentation System of Cueva Pintada. This text gives an account of what has been done so far within the framework of the conception and implementation of this system and of its first results.
