Abstract: Research about selection has been focused to the material and current process selection methodologies/tools have problems. Consequently, a methodology for preliminary process selection was created through its integration in a design process. It allows manufacturing influence in early design stages through creating organizational knowledge. This storage of learning, integration and minimum viable product are key aspects. This paper addresses its application in industrial and university environments: manufacturing companies, design professionals, subject and final degree project. The obtained results show that methodology is validated and that the use of existing Manufacturing Process Selection methodologies is not enough for a correct selection.
